Melodica

A while back, I’d say around Christmas of 2007 I was watching the live stream at live.pirillo.com, Chris was playing with his new (at the time) Tenori-on. I thought it was really cool and wanted one of course they are really expensive. Well the other day I found this app called Melodica in the App Store that is quite similar to the Tenori-on.

The app is grid form basically and each square basically is a note, you select which squares you want to activate, either selecting them individually or by moving your finger across them. I use Melodica to pass the time, or to just get my mind off of things. Some people might not like it, but I don’t really see what’s not to like.

Found Melodica thanks to this product review. This is one of those apps that shows what a great platform the iPhone/iPodT is for innovative software design. I have never seen anything like it and I love it! The app is realy cheap (less than 1$) but it is very limited in scope. It’s a toy, really, and you will not be playing around with it endlesly, but while it lasts you’ll have a great deal of fun!
